Location
Wilson Airport is located at the Southern outskirts of the city of Nairobi, at 2 km. It is bordered as follows;
~ To the north by Langata road.
~ To the south by Nairobi national park.
~ To the east by a developing area of residential units and -offices.
~ To the west by a golf course and the Uhuru gardens.

History
Created with it's two runways in 1933, Wilson Airport, originally Nairobi Aerodrome, was first used for air mail service. Under the Royal Navy during the second world war it started it's civil activities in 1944.

Developments:
The real expansion of Wilson airport began in 1962, with a traffic of general aviation activities continuously growing. Major runway renovations were carried out in 1997.
