Lokichogio airstrip is located in the Northern part of Turkana district. It was built to ease movements of the provincial administration and security. It is over 40 years old.

Facilities:
It has one runway of about 1,200 metres with two taxiways leading to the parking area.

A control tower and a small administrative block are availed.

A Cargo terminal shade exists for the WFP and there are minimal handling facilities.

A fire and rescue service is availed .
