KAA darts and pool teams setting the regional pace
Welcome once again to yet another of our weekly Updates.
The Kenya Airports Authority darts team started this year on a high note and I am proud to say that they have maintained their pace, and shown their credibility by winning more than ten trophies in all tournaments organized by the Kenya Darts Association in the calendar year 2008. Our darts team are also the current East Africa inter club champions of the year after trouncing both Uganda and Tanzania thus retaining the overall winners trophy.
On their part the pool team has also shown an impressive performance after emerging the overall winner of the Bitange Ndemo Cup, in a tournament that saw five organizations participating. The tournament which was organized by the Ministry of Information and Communication was held on the 11th to 13th of July 2008 at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication. The results were as follows:
Both the teams were spearheaded by their team manager Erick Ndiema of Fire and Rescue Services, who also led by example and was ranked the best overall pool player of the year. The teams are anticipating more trophies in the upcoming KECOSO games to be held in Kisumu. Congratulations to all the team members for making us proud and flying the KAA flag high!
